A reflection on energy, boundaries, and divine self-worth

There was a time I would’ve laughed it off.Tried to be “cool” or understanding. Maybe even convinced myself to ignore how it made me feel - just to keep the peace or avoid conflict. But not anymore.

The other day, a man messaged me, speaking to me in a way that was provocative and lustful — trying to test the waters, to see what I’d entertain. And something in me rose up immediately.

Not fear.

Not anger.

But discernment.

I am a woman of integrity.

A woman of honor.

And I carry my energy like something sacred - because it is.

So I shut it down. Respectfully. Calmly. With no need to explain or soften the truth.

And just like that, his mask cracked. He got angry. He tried to gaslight me about

how I felt — to twist my clarity into confusion.

But I didn’t go back. I didn’t question myself.

I honored what I knew.

The next morning, he messaged me again - apologizing. But by then, I was already past the test.

Because I know what that was:

A mirror. A moment.

A chance for me to choose myself, the version I’ve been training to be.

The woman I speak about. The one I preach.

The one I am.

I believe that God, the Universe, the Divine - they send us opportunities like this. To ask us gently but clearly:

“Are you really her yet? The woman you say you are?”And I thank God every day that I am trusted with those chances.

Because the truth is:

🕊️ Not everyone deserves access to me.

Not everyone should be allowed to sip from my spirit or be close to my fire.

And if you’re reading this - maybe it’s your reminder too.

That you are sacred. Your energy is precious. Your body, your time, your softness, your soul - they all deserve to be honored.

Boundaries aren’t walls. They’re devotion.

And integrity isn’t always loud. But it’s powerful.

So today, I honor the woman I am becoming.

And I protect her with grace, softness, and fire.
